NEW BOOK

Public Relations and
Corporate Racial Responsibility

My book, Public Relations and Corporate Racial Responsibility, introduces the corporate racial responsibility (CRR) theory in public relations. It argues that corporations have distinct responsibilities related to race due to their historical and contemporary roles in fostering systems and structures of racial inequality. The book also examines how organizations can use communication to advance racial justice, equality, and inclusion. It discusses the public relations efforts of companies such as Ben & Jerry’s, Dove, Nike, and Starbucks. It offers scholars and practitioners a new framework for understanding and engaging corporate discourse on race.
